Business Analyst

Job Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our agile development team. This position will be a long-term contract that is onsite in Tallahassee, FL.
What You’ll Do
- Research and understand FDOT business processes and their inter-relationships
- Document and diagram business and system processes and dependencies between them
- Research and document impacts on agency business systems
- Facilitate joint analysis workshops with the business units
- Gather and document business and technical requirements as user stories in Azure DevOps and other tools
- Manage backlog and work items using Azure DevOps
- Coordinate with data migration and development teams
- Develop Test Plans and Test Cases
- Coordinate testing and quality assurance efforts
- Perform oversight reviews of deliverables for compliance with department standards
- Perform detailed research, business analysis, as-is and to-be analysis, process modeling.
- Perform System Analysis & Design using a variety of modeling methodologies and techniques
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders
What You'll Need
Required:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or related field required. Equivalent work experience may substitute for educational requirement
- FLAIR experience
- 5+ years of experience in Business Process Analysts and systems analysis
- Proficiency in writing SQL Queries and performing Data Analysis
- Proficiency in process mapping/modeling with tools such as Visio
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, and Project
- Knowledge of data migration
- Ability to relate to stakeholders’ needs, document their requirements, and perform duties in the absence of staff
- Ability to receive and give constructive criticism and maintain effective work relationships with others
- Ability to adjust to changing demands in a dynamic environment with diverse work assignments
Preferred:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is highly desired
- Experience working with Microsoft DevOps to manage user requirements and backlogs
- Knowledge of Rules 60GG-1 – 60GG-5, Florida Administrative Code
- Knowledge of change and release management
- Knowledge of testing and quality assurance tools and techniques
