SQL Developer

Position Title: Remote SQL Developer – Hire SQL

Overview:
Hire SQL is actively searching for a skilled SQL Developer to join our software engineering group on a remote basis within the United States. This position focuses on developing, optimizing, and managing databases to support dynamic, data-driven applications.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Construct and maintain SQL scripts and stored procedures for database implementations
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to integrate robust database solutions
• Optimize queries and indexes to enhance application performance and data integrity
• Automate data processes, including backups, ETL workflows, and performance monitoring
• Participate in code reviews and offer strategic input on database architecture

Key Qualifications:
• Proficiency in SQL and database design principles (e.g., normalization, indexing)
• Familiarity with one or more RDBMS platforms (Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle)
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of ETL tools and data warehousing concepts is a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills
